A Word About Life and Things

God’s Will

        Every new Christian wonders what is God’s will for their life, and some older Christians also. When we accept Jesus as our Redeemer, we must also accept God’s will in everything we do. We are first of all a new creation. The former things we did are now not a part of our lives. We have been changed into a Son or Daughter of God. That means we want to do what our God wants us to do. We want to please Him because we Love to do what He wants us to do.

       Here are a few things that the Bible says about the will of God.

      1. In 1 John chapter 2, - This world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God, abides forever.

      2. 1 Thessalonians Chapter 4 - For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you should abstain from sexual immorality; that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor, not in passion of lust, like the Gentiles who do not know God.

      3. For God did not call us to uncleanness, but in holiness.

      4. Therefore he who rejects this does not reject man, but God, who has also given us His Holy Spirit.

      5. Romans Chapter 12 - And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

      6. Ephesians Chapter 6 - Not with eye service, as men pleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;

      Even after reading the Bible many people still do not know what they should do. Start serving the Lord, anyway that you can. You can start as an usher in Church. Serve in the nursery, kids church, with your gifts and talents, no matter what they are. There are many places that your gifts and talents can be used in the Church. The more you serve the Lord the more God will ask you to do.

      The more we do for the Lord, the more opportunities He will give to you to serve Him. Finding God’s will for our lives is not hard to find, we just need to start from where we are, and God will lead us to better and better things, He has for us. We go from one level of glory, to another level of glory, and so on, and so on. We will find our place in His Will.
